PRACSIS and PR Concept organise an exciting week of events in Tallinn
In October 2016, the Estonian government and the European Commission hosted the 20th European Forum on Eco-innovation in Tallinn. This was the 19th edition of the Forum that PRACSIS was responsible for organising from the ground up. With the help of the Estonian-based agency PR Concept, PRACSIS arranged the programme, logistics, venue, registration, speakers, web and media work, promotion, catering, web streaming services—and much more. They also took care of the European Business Awards for the Environment (EBAE) in Tallinn’s beautiful Seaplane Harbour Museum (Lennusadam)—the first time in PRACSIS history that guests shared a room with a real life submarine.
PRACSIS and Comunicative web-stream live from the United Nations in Vienna
PRACSIS was in Vienna in June to webcast the closing event of Green Week 2016, which featured EU Commissioner for Environment, Karmenu Vella, as well as speakers from the United Nations. With logistical help from Comunicative, PRACSIS delivered its full suite of web-streaming services at the UN’s impressive Vienna International Centre – VIC. This was on the heels of several other Green Week events in Brussels and Ljubljana, which PRACSIS organized and also web-streamed live.
PRACSIS and BMS set up European Commission stand at Lisbon’s Mega Picnic
Last June, Lisbon hosted Continente’s Mega PicNic, promoting sustainable farming and food products. PRACSIS was responsible for the design and set up of the European Commission stand, an exhibition area of 300m2 with diverse and attractive animations. The Lisbon-based EURACSIS agency Brand, Mind & Strategy (BMS) provided logistical and technical support and assisted in the recruitment of competent staff.
PRACSIS & SPELLBOUND PR take EU food quality labels to Edinburgh
Edinburgh received the visit of DG AGRI at the Royal Highland Show 2014. In charge of all logistical, technical and content-related tasks, PRACSIS set up a 100m2 stand with different animations, quizzes on the Common Agriculture Policy (CAP), a colouring corner, a blender bike, and the globally renowned DG AGRI cow. PRACSIS received support from SPELLBOUND PR, the EURACSIS UK agency.
PRACSIS and PR CONCEPT join forces in Tartu
The lovely city of Tartu welcomes annually the largest agriculture fair in Estonia: MAAMESS. Last edition took place 24 -25 April 2014. Under a shining sun, thousands of visitors attended, discovered and participated in various activities in an exhibition space of 50.000 square meters, with more than 300 companies, agricultural organisations and public institutions represented.
The European Commission’s Directorate General for Agriculture and Rural Development (DG AGRI) didn’t want to miss the opportunity of promoting its policies, programmes and benefits to Estonian agribusiness professionals and their families.
As DG AGRI’s main event organiser, PRACSIS designed and built a stand of 56 m² where visitors were encouraged to taste different EU-labelled products, play the wheel of fortune, exercise while cooking with a blender bike and provide answers to the quiz desk.
The stand was well equipped technically-speaking, with mics, sound and lighting system and a 46” screen showing the latest clip of the Common Agriculture Policy campaign. Many giveaways were distributed: USB keys, reflector snap bands, cotton and seed bags magnets.
With the valuable assistance of PR Concept, the PRACSIS partner agency in Estonia, the overall workflow of this very important event couldn’t have gone better. Indeed the DG AGRI stand was a real success - and so was the general attendance - over 30.000 people visited the fair during the two days. But there is one last answer we would like to have: which one of PRACSIS-planned activities was the most successful? You’ve got it - the gastronomy-tasting ones!
Vilnius hosts European Commission's Seminar on Rural Development Communication by AVENIRE & PRACSIS.
This past March the city of Vilnius welcomed a DG AGRI seminar on Communicating Rural Development. The event looked at efficient communication strategies to support the implementation of EU rural development programmes. EU officials, communication professionals, members of rural networks and local action groups gathered to discuss the best and most effective communication strategies in support of rural development policies and involved communities.
EURACSIS, the PRACSIS network of communication agencies, proved crucial to the success of this event. The Lithuanian agency AVENIRE displayed its expertise and mobilised its network to deliver appropriate solutions: from identifying suitable venues, to selecting skilled conference staff and assisting in translation services. Cooperation between PRACSIS and AVENIRE overcame difficult challenges to produce fruitful results. For instance, two interpreters travelled from Belgium to support six interpreters from Lithuania who, together, ensured high quality simultaneous interpretation in English, Lithuanian German, and French. AVENIRE was also of great assistance in recruiting hostesses and stewards who could speak both English and French fluently.
Teamwork is the key to success. PRACSIS and AVENIRE perfectly illustrated this principle, confirming the added value of a network such as EURACSIS.

Expanding the media outreach of eco-innovation in the Czech Republic.
Last 23-34 May, the city of Prague welcomed the 14th European Forum on Eco-innovation, dedicated to urban air quality in Europe. The forum on eco-innovation is a biannual international conference organised by the Directorate General for Environment of the European Commission. Since the first edition PRACSIS has been responsible for organising the whole forum, including the event’s graphics and logistics, promotional actions and media work.
Nowadays eco-innovation is at the top of the political, environmental and social agenda. However, it remains a topic that is hard-to-convey, rarely hitting the headlines. In cooperation with EURACSIS agencies in the Czech Republic, InDependent Original and Aspen, PRACSIS designed and implemented a media strategy to achieve substantial coverage for the Prague forum. It included targeted promotion prior to the event, on site interviews, news releases and dissemination in both Czech and English to national and international press. As a result, a total of 23 editorials were published, 19 of which were issued by media in the Czech Republic. This is the highest media exposure for a European forum on eco-innovation since its first edition, not only in terms of total coverage but also national coverage in the host country.
The 14th European Forum on Eco-innovation demonstrates the successful cooperation between PRACSIS and its Czech partners and shows the added value of the EURACSIS network: a perfect combination of in depth expertise on EU affairs and first-hand knowledge of national media landscapes across Europe.

They assisted in translating and disseminating the EC press release as well as news that were drafted on the spot by the PRACSIS press team. Over 70 media mentions in eight different languages proves that EURACSIS’ success has no boundaries!
